Ken has been a resident of South Salem since 1992, and has been a practicing Realtor for 17 years. He started his practice in Brooklyn Heights, where he quickly became a local market leader. In 1993, he moved from Manhattan to Westchester and became associated with a leading regional brokerage in South Salem. Throughout this association, Ken was a consistent top agent and the recipient of numerous awards.

Previously, Ken had a full time career as a professional guitarist for nearly 20 years. He worked in many Broadway shows, and his credits include commercials for numerous clients, as well as composing and arranging credits for radio, TV, movies, and other media. Locally, Ken has become a familiar face at various town events, playing with his band, which he continues to do as a serious hobby.

In 2003, Ken founded Ken Sobel Real Estate, LLC, guided by his belief that as an independent, agile company, he could provide his clients with superior service and results. Just a few years later, Ken Sobel Real Estate  occupied it's own building in South Salem hamlet with a full complement of licensed agents and a strong local local brand. After five years as an independent brokerage Ken started looking for ways to continue to grow and gain access to a wider market. In 2008 Ken Sobel  Real Estate merged with Prudential Holmes and Kennedy in Katonah  where Ken is now an Associate Broker.

Ken has served the community as a past president of the Jewish Family Congregation, a member of the Lewisboro Lions , The Lewisboro Chamber of Commerce, and a charter member of the Northern Westchester Business Association. He has participated in or sponsored events with the American Cancer Society, the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the South Salem Library, and many others.
